An overview of the duties and purpose of the St Tammany Parish Executive Committee (DPEC)

• Create and manage programs to assist in the recruitment and election of candidates.

• Create and manage programs to assist in the recruitment of new Democratic voters.

• Create and manage public relations programs, voter education programs and leadership programs.

• Raise funds to support democratic programs and to contribute to Democratic candidate campaigns.

• Identify and support local Democratic organizations.

• Educate Democrats on party issues, legislation, and upcoming elections.

• Support elected Democratic officials.

• Establish and maintain a local headquarters for party activities.

• Maintain relationships with the Democratic State and National Party.
