St Tammany DPEC PAC New Member Information


Members of St Tammany DPEC are expected to work to support the mission of DPEC and to serve as local representatives of the Democratic Party. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the election of local and statewide Democratic candidates; 

  • Promoting and encouraging Democratic Party activities, including, but not limited to the following:

    • Encouraging and promoting voter registration;

    • Establishing and maintaining a strong, viable Democratic organization on the parish level;

    • Assisting local Democratic organizations;

    • Raising funds for both state and parish Democratic activities and for the Louisiana Democratic Party;

    • Educating local voters as to Democratic Party issues and activities; 

    • Supporting Democratic elected officials.

Attendance: St Tammany DPEC members are asked to attend monthly meetings on the third Thursday of every month at 6:45pm. Meetings are currently held at the DPEC HQ at 1501 Gause Blvd #3, Slidell, LA 70458. In the event you are unable to attend a meeting, you may designate a proxy from among the other members or the public. 

Committees: All DPEC members are encouraged to join one or more committees. The committees that are currently organized are: Executive (elected officers), Communications, Fundraising, Community Outreach/Voters Education, Precinct Organizing, Fundraising, Young Democrats, DEI, Legislative.

Joining outside of elections: For members who are accepted to DPEC by way of applying for a vacant seat, there is a $37.50 qualifying fee payable to the St Tammany DPEC – this fee is due upon being sworn in. Members applying to join DPEC outside of elections do so by way of contacting the Executive Board and stating their interest. To apply, email us at stdpecexecutiveboard@gmail.com

Elections: Elections for DPEC and the DSCC take place every 4 years and align with the Presidential Primary in March. Qualifying for these races takes place in December. The DSCC and DPEC elections will be held next in 2027. The qualifying fee is $150.00. The term for DPEC and DSCC seats is 4 years.
