Precinct Organizing Committee

Purpose: Precinct Organizers have the most important job in the Democratic Party. Precinct Organizers are the precinct level representatives of the Democratic Party in St Tammany and play a crucial role in educating voters about issues and candidates, while working to elect Democratic Party nominees.
What do Precinct Organizers do? As a Precinct Organizer (PO), you will represent the Democratic Party at the precinct level, attend periodic meetings, and work with other POs and volunteers to educate voters about our issues and candidates. You will also play a crucial role in helping to “get out the vote” in your precinct.
What are the requirements to become a Precinct Organizer?
- Be a registered Democrat (not unaffiliated)
- Live in the precinct you represent
- Request to be appointed by the St Tammany DPEC Precinct Organizing Committee Chair.
